Film & TV Language: Editing blog task

In this video i implement many techniques but first opening the scene i bring out a main character who's concentrated on his phone he then turns it off and moves to open the door which  is one of the conventions that the video had to have.He is then shot from a camera in the back and we see him looking at something TENSE music is played which is diagetic music and parallel to the scene the music abruptly  ends and a character with a puffy jacket walks in and starts conversing with the other character i use different shots in between the scenes from middle shot to a close up in order to hide the actors and only show one at a time this is to of course show that i am speaking to something as i was the only actor who had acted out two different people. We then see i then use a reverse shot from the side sneakily portraying the character without showing his full body as he was the cameraman i brazenly acted out as a easily angered and frustrating individual which the other character is already use to and i use the pan technique to slowly follow him down to where he sat as he told him that he hasn't changed i use match on action to show the the two different actors sitting next to each other as i discuss the robbery proposed by the man in the puffy jacket. He then hesitates then agrees at the end to help him in his robbery they shake on it and the man in the puffy jacket then walks away.

A lot of the shots in the short video help portray both characters one who'  retired and doesn't enjoy the life of crime anymore and one that enjoys the life of crime and is easily well off with money. Its also shown through their outfits the poor one doesn't have a jacket to wear whereas the one with the jacket shows that he can easily afford certain accessories. Its also shown through the pace of their dialogue the one easily tempered is the one talks fast and concise whereas the retired one speaks slow and careful which demonstrates his compassion and change he had while retired

I also use the 180 degree rule as well to show how the character is looking at the puffy jacket man he looks at him with annoyance and disappointment rather than fear or happiness.its the point of view that matters and we see thorough the characters real persona
