CLASS SUMMARY:

Most of the class actually liked the sunrise with me running in the back they highlighted that as a great aspect of the scene and one of the climaxes of that 40-second clip. Many also liked the casual clothing and saw that as accurate to the clip of Rocky running. Some of them said the actions and facial expressions were also very good. However, many also didn't like that it was vertical and not horizontal it may have ruined the cinematic experience. The running scenes were somewhat lackluster and a lot of cuts were made which confused some of them. The audio cut as well at the end highlighted and felt very out of place.

SELF ASSESSMENT:

My performance of the rocky scene was very bad in effort especially the vertical problem ruined many of the shots. Perhaps the spacing of the camera between me was too far and wasn't close enough to see my actions which I was doing(shadow boxing, running). I also could done better with the outfit and perhaps the white hoodie which was integral to the scene. Overall some of the shots including the sunrise were amazing but the overall video fell short due to some mistakes I made from filming the scene.

THOUGHTS:

My initial thoughts came from my brother and his idea to just film me running and cutting to various different parts of my neighborhood. My brother actually helped film the scene but due to cold weather and it being smack bang in the morning, we made a lot of rookie mistakes such as the vertical issue. The sunrise was my idea but we left it in the background which really made the scene look brighter literally and more symbolic of the running journey.

Horizontal not vertical 

Proper shot list

Cleaner cuts 

Those will help me improve 

HOW HAS IT HELPED ME:

It gave me a better understanding of the difficulty that comes with filming movies and series to such an extent and the focus that comes into these pieces of media that bring it to life which I have a great amount of respect for. I should put more focus and effort towards these certain tasks which will bring a greater understanding to the works of these directors who have created masterpieces.

TV: Capital case study 1 AND 2

 Q1: It's realism and cultural diversity that spans each episode it's very true to London life as well as the life of the working class and upper class the rich and poor and their beliefs and struggles that seem tame compared to each other Q2: The heavy reference to immigration. TV: Introduction to TV Drama

  Q1:A serial is  a television show which has a continuous plot that unfolds in sequential episode-by-episode fashion .  Q2: ABC Avengers, Danger Man, The Sweeny, and The Minder are all examples of TV drama from the factsheet. I feel like media has evolved with its audience and their beliefs mostly starting to try and show lesser minorities or representation of certain communities. Q3:  Settings  influence the plot tremendously, are part of it, create an atmosphere, and complete the picture . Q4:  Most TV dramas have a large ensemble cast – a range of characters. These characters are often stereotypical – communicating a lot to the audience quickly.
